Canley is a suburban neighbourhood located in the CV4 postcode area in the southwest of Coventry, England. It was historically part of the Stoneleigh parish, but it became part of Coventry due to successive boundary changes between 1928 and 1932. Canley is largely situated within the Westwood ward, and partially within the Wainbody and Earlsdon wards.
The neighbourhood is well-known for being home to many students who attend the nearby University of Warwick. Canley is bisected by the A45 dual-carriageway, with a major state housing development located to the south of the road that was built in the early 1950s. To the north of the A45 lies an area of private housing called Canley Gardens, situated towards the Canley rail station. Canley used to have a level crossing adjacent to its railway station until 2003 when the road was closed, and a footbridge was constructed over the railway. The surrounding areas of Canley include Cannon Park and Cannon Hill to the east, Tile Hill South to the north, and Westwood Heath to the south. Overall, Canley is a vibrant and diverse neighbourhood with a mix of private and state housing, as well as easy access to the university and surrounding areas.
